Please go to our new site www.Funchal.se Four charming country cottages on Madeira Island to let in a unique 19th century estate. These four houses are situated in the hills of Funchal, Madeira island’s capital overlooking the sea and harbour, in a quiet old “Quinta” with extended gardens full of a large variety of tropical plants, flowers and trees in very green, park like surroundings of a few hectares. The temperature throughout the year varies between 16°c and 26°c in the shade during the day. Palheiro golf course and Garden is nearby (5 minutes). The centre of Funchal (4km) and the airport (15km) are only 15 min away by car or bus. Situated on a working wine farm, the houses vary in size, are fully equipped and well maintained. The owner lives on the estate which means that everything is kept in working order The Doll's House has a comfortable living room with a kitchen at one end, and a wood burning stove, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and is suitable for 2 adults + a baby. Read more. The Garden Cottage has a living room with a wood burning stove and a kitchen at one end. There is a double room with a bathroom and a double/twin bedroom with an ensuite shower. It is suitable for 4 adults + a baby. Read more. The Wine Lodge is situated in the centre of the vineyards. It has a living room with doors onto a veranda and an open fireplace. A separate kitchen. The Stone House has downstairs a big living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom with bunk beds. Upstairs there is a double/twin bedroom and a double room sharing a large bath room.
